Sacha Parisot: Director, Co-Writer Filmmaking is a second career for Sacha Parisot. Sacha started out at Polytechnic University in New York, where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science in 1984. After graduation he began his career as a Technical Writer for companies in New York and Connecticut. Sacha eventually ended up as a consultant working with numerous high tech companies in Silicon Valley and in Europe. Sacha has studied filmmaking at three colleges: Long Island University in New York, Wesleyan University in Connecticut, and DeAnza College in California. During his studies, Sacha produced and directed a total of 14 short films. His last short, Fluf, has been shown at a number of film festivals around the world, including the Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose California, and the prestigious Bilbao International Short Film Festival in Bilbao Spain. Sacha's filmmaking experience is not limited to producing and directing his on his own films. Sacha also wrote the screenplays for seven of the shorts he directed, and he has worked on over 50 films in all crew positions. In related endeavors, Sacha was the President of the Independent Media Artists Group (IMAGE) from 1998 to 2000, and was also the Director of IMAGEfest in 1996 and 1999, a film and video festival focusing on San Francisco Bay Area filmmakers. |
